Background & Experience

Tania Neeson has been practising and teaching pilates for over 20 years. Her love and respect for the pilates method began when it helped her recover from a a major car accident.

Tania has trained in and teaches all aspects of pilates including small equipment, full studio equipment including Reformer, Cadillac/Trapeze Table, Wunda chair, pre and post-natal pilates, pre-school, kids and teens pilates, standing pilates, rehabilitation, sport specific and beginner, intermediate and advanced matwork.

In 2020 Tania took the APPI Bridging Course to bring her significant training and experience under one umbrella and is now a member of APPI.

Tania started her pilates training in London where she carried out her first year-long, in-studio training. She developed an eye for alignment and taught a very wide spectrum of clients including actors, dancers, hairdressers and professionals. Tania then studied at a studio in Oxford to gain greater depth. Tania has kept up to date attending conferences and training courses annually ever since.

Tania subsequently taught mat classes in Oxfordshire and Berkshire and opened and ran her own fully equipped Pilates studio in Reading. Tania sold her studio after 10 years to focus on her young family. For the last 10 years, Tania has worked in Whitchurch-On-Thames, teaching matwork and small equipment classes, and continued to teach reformer studio pilates at the studio she’d started and in a barn near Pangbourne.

Tania is excited to keep teaching mat classes in Whitchurch-On-Thames  and from April 2022 is launching a fully equipped, reformer pilates studio at the garden studio in Whitchurch-On-Thames, Oxfordshire RG8.

Approach

Tania’s teaching approach stands out as the classes are interactive with individual feedback. Tania believes in the benefits of teaching in small classes to ensure each person receives personalised guidance and cues. She has embraced the challenges of covid-19 and teaches online and in-person, covid-secure classes. Typically class sizes are max 4 people to ensure quality.

Corporate Wellbeing

Tania’s scope goes beyond teaching. Previously a lawyer for a City law firm, Tania has worked for corporate clients, including the BBC, EJC and a top 100 commercial law firm, on designing and delivering specific wellbeing programmes.

Tania has also worked for educational settings including Whitchurch-On-Thames Pre School.

Corporate wellbeing programmes cover live classes, graphic and recorded material, newsletter and intranet content. Programmes include live-streamed workshops on exercises at your desk and back care at work.
